Search For Love - Empire State Human by ninthwaver

Empire State Human/Ninthwave Media are pleased to announce the Oct
23rd release date of
the brand new single “Search for Love”, by Ireland's leading synthpop
band Empire State Human. It's the first new release since 2009's album
"Audio Gothic", which featured Wolfgang Flur (of Kraftwerk fame) on
the track "Melancholic Afro" and it's also the bands 14th official
release since 2002's "Pop Robot" album.

Released through Ninthwave Media “Search for Love” is taken from the
forthcoming ESH album “The Art”, to be released in 2011.
"Search for Love" a lively, up-tempo, electro/synthpop slab of a song,
showcasing a more upfront pop production style and a new musical
direction for the band.

This is also the first new release since the departure of band member
Seán Barron in July.
ESH will continue as a duo, with original band members Aidan Casserly
and Lar Kiernan.

The 3 track single is backed by an exclusive b-side track called “The
Light” and also features the space themed track “Genesis Apollo” which
is the title track for an exclusive album of bonus material to be
included on the next studio album called “The Art”.

After about 2+ years ESH return to the stage for a live performance this THursday (July 1s) at The Button Factory, with two Dublin synth bands Hayfield and Eden. Eden headline with the release of the new single "If I was a Pet Shop Boy" ... how cute eh? We go no at 8:40pm!

There will be two reviews/features coming in shortly, one for Electronic Rumours and the other for Analogue Trash, both in the UK. Side Line will also be interviewing, reviewing and featuring a banner advert too on it.
We will be pushing the hell of our this new (and best) ESH album in the coming months!! It deserves to big a very, very successful CD in our opinion, but we know that involves having a lot of luck. But you never know what can happen if lady luck is on your side …
It’s pre-order success has also inspired us to jump straight back in to our Electric Eye studio to begin the writing/recording of its follow up!!
We don’t want to say much, other than we’ve already a number of great new songs written and currently in production.
It took us 4 years between “Cycles” and “Audio Gothic”, but we don’t intend taking the same time out to complete a follow up. People do forget you, and when you’ve still got drive and ambition (and talent we hope!) that’s a big shame.
On July 15th, ESH celebrate 10 years in existance. We’d love to mark this landmark date in some way. We’ll have to discuss how with friends, fans and Ninthwave Records .. maybe a give away or something or indeed something more special .. we’ll see.
Maybe Ninthwave can send out a request to its fan-base and see what people want from us? Over to you Dave on that one …

There is a "fan" video for a new track, "Audio Gothic" off our upcoming "Audio Gothic" album on-line at You Tube. It is a video made for the title track using footage from the classic horror film "Nosferatu". The new ESH album will feature this song in a longer version plus the Wolfgang Flur collaboration as well as other tracks. Calling all Kraftwerk fans ... remix a legend?

There's been a few mentions already on the internet, but we can confirm that end of January/early February we will be having a remix competition for our "Melancholic Afro" feat. Wolfgang Flür track.
So any fans of the original line up of Kraftwerk will get an exclusive chance to remix our track with the legend that is Wolfgang Flür .
The remix competition will be hosted exclusively by Laptop Rockers website site and they have a sponsor who will supply goodies to the winners, as well as receiving personally signed copies of "Audio Gothic" by Wolfgang and us when the album is pressed.

"Radio No No" exclusive non album B-side

With the upcoming digital e-single release with Ninthwave Media of "Melancholic Afro", we were asked by Dave Richards to add a non album ("Audio Gothic") B-side on it.
"Radio No No" is the track we put forward, and it will grab many ears (yours included) on first listen to. It's a great modern dance instrumental with hypnotic electro pulses and steady rhythms, covered with speaking samples (from an Irish Radio Station intervew), great layering and certainly has a darker musical side to it.
We're very comfortable with all genres, styles and areas. I think we're becoming more and more like proper song writers, with every new album!
We were told a few months ago, that synth bands shouldn't record political songs (reference to our new song "Ghosts In America" from the new album), but then we thought about "Enola Gay" and "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and we felt we still wanted to ... lesson, don't take every bit of advice flung your way ... or else some of it will stick .. think for yourselves, and rely on your gut insticts .. it's a more natural process!!

We are the robots!

Dear Friends,

This is the Empire State Human official blog .. somewhere where we can add info on any new recordings, about our songs and music and our new releases (next up is our e-single "Melancholic Afro" feat. Wolfgang Flür from Kraftwerk fame ...)
The new album "Audio Gothic" is completed and awaiting Ninthwave's CD confirmed release date, which is probably going to be end of January/early February 2009. It's definately our best yet, and we hope it will open new opportunities and commercial doors for us .... time will tell!

We stopped recording for about 8 weeks after the album was mastered .. just after our successful live appearance at Retrofest in Scotland in August. We're hard at it again .. recording that is ... as with 2009 fast approaching, we'll be ten years together as a band and we want to celebrate this landmark by recording a very special album called "Mirrors". We'll explain more about this, when "Audio Gothic" is released.
