This is the Empire State Human official blog .. somewhere where we can add info on any new recordings, about our songs and music and our new releases (next up is our e-single "Melancholic Afro" feat. Wolfgang Flür from Kraftwerk fame ...)
The new album "Audio Gothic" is completed and awaiting Ninthwave's CD confirmed release date, which is probably going to be end of January/early February 2009. It's definately our best yet, and we hope it will open new opportunities and commercial doors for us .... time will tell!
We stopped recording for about 8 weeks after the album was mastered .. just after our successful live appearance at Retrofest in Scotland in August. We're hard at it again .. recording that is ... as with 2009 fast approaching, we'll be ten years together as a band and we want to celebrate this landmark by recording a very special album called "Mirrors". We'll explain more about this, when "Audio Gothic" is released.

- Welcome to the official blog of Empire State Human. Based in Dublin/Ireland, we formed in 1999. Members - Aidan Casserly (vocals), Seán Barron (programming, keyboards, electronic percussion & backing vocals) & Lar Kiernan (keyboards). We create contemporary song and instrumental based electronic music, with a retro-electro edge. Our music is a combination of analogue and digital synthesized sound, mixed with powerful rhythms and overlaid with strong pop vocal melodies. In 2004 we had a number one in the US iTunes dance charts with a cover of "Theme To Halloween". We've composed music for films and adverts and in 2008 our song "Liquid Blue" featured in the film "The Viva Voce Virus". We're the first Irish band to ever work with an original member of Kraftwerk (Wolfgang Flur). In August 2008 we appeared live @ Retrofest in Scotland. We've just finished our next studio album "Audio Gothic", which will be released in North America in November. European labels please contact us for licensing it in Europe.
